Basically this country is perfect

Woke up at 5 (first time in like a lot of months) to catch the train to Wellington. Shannon’s coworkers were speaking at a conference for maths professors and accompanied me to the city (about 1hr 45 South Palmerston North).

Walked through the capital (beehive buzz buzz). Apparently it’s possible to just witness the prime minister strolling abt sin secret service or guns or dark sunglasses etc. NZed didn’t even make me go thru security or so much as look in my bag when I flew domestically from Christchurch to Palmy which was honestly the most disconcerting experience like people trust each other here waaaa?

Walked along the Wharf (this felt like San Fran) to incredible museum about the history and creation of New Zealand called Te Papa. The exhibits were diverse and soo captivating I ended up spending half the day there and made myself leave feeling like there was more to see. Installations detailed the natural earth, Maori culture- separate post about this later- and even the Women’s March as a response to international phenomenon: Donald Trump.

Grabbed coff and chatted with some couple that was really into graphic novels on Cuba Street

Checked out the uni, rode the cable cars (typicalz) and then had 2 dash for train back with my math buddies

Cuba street was sweet as though and I would definitely love to go back and see more of this hip city.
